What we teach
Listening
In listening classes, NETs teach from books assigned to specific levels. The listening classes are based on different levels. Younger learners, and beginners, focus on dictation, vocabulary, and comprehension. Students are also given the opportunity to practice speaking in the listening classes, as students use the topics at hand to develop general listening & speaking skills.
Speaking
ESL, Debating, and TOEFL books are used as a base for speaking classes. Students study the related content in class, and the teacher assists the students with pronunciation, sentence structuring, and fluency.
Reading
Reading classes differ from campus to campus, based on the customized programs set up according to the management teams. In NET reading classes, students focus on comprehension, pronunciation, and writing.
Critical Thinking
NETs use a combination of Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing materials. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and link the different components of communication for a better understanding of the work at hand. Students are given research tasks and are taught how to do online research in English.
Writing
Students are given topics related to the bookwork, and teachers guide them in writing essays. Students are taught according to their levels, and materials range from sentence writing to essay writing.
Movie & Talk
Movie and documentary series are used to broaden the horizons of students. The Movie & Talk classes give students an opportunity to visualize situations and develop their vocabulary with active learning. Writing & Speaking activities are used to further the skills of the students.
